The sliding core moulds by Meusburger have become an integral part of the mould industry. The sophisticated construction kit system ensures versatile standard moulds made of standard parts available from stock.
One of the many advantages of the Meusburger construction kit system is that the bore patterns of the plates, i.e. the locations of the pillar holes and screw bores, are compatible with the F-plates, which makes work a great deal easier. The sliding cores cover the entire length of the mould, as a result of which the plastic parts do not get in touch with the guiding rails during demoulding. The closing frame bolster plate transmits the necessary closing pressure to the sliding cores without requiring additional reinforcement. „In our new sliding core moulds each sliding core is guided by a narrow guiding part situated underneath and is driven by one single inclined pillar. That prevents the guiding part from becoming wedged, which can happen when two pillars are asynchronously moving,“ says Franz Kohler, head of product management at Meusburger.
Innovative strength thanks to revolutionary ideas
The ready-to-use guiding system for the sliding cores, which adheres to extremely small tolerance limits, also helps to save costs. „What´s so special about this system is the smart way the sliding cores are guided. Thanks to the system´s sophisticated design, bores regulating the temperature in the sliding cores can be added to the guiding part. As a result there is no need for slots to be machined into the closing frame bolster plate, which would have a negative influence on the plate´s stability,“ adds managing director Georg Meusburger, further emphasizing the innovativeness of Meusburger´s sliding core moulds. The core stoppers are already built in in the guiding part; coated guiding rails with oil grooves ensure low-maintenance and allow the sliding cores to run smoothly.
