TrueMill™ technology, the engine in SURFCAM Velocity® CAM software by Surfware Inc., figured in awards of gold medals at trade fairs held in Brno, Czech Republic, and Nitra, Slovakia, this year. The awards were issued in recognition of demonstrated and dramatic benefits to the manufacturing industry.
The 48th International Engineering trade fair and 5th International Machine Tools trade fair were held at the Brno Trade Fair Grounds in September. More than 2,100 exhibitors from 32 countries filled the pavilions, all promoting their latest technologies. As every year, the exhibitors vied for the show’s Gold Medal. Presentation of the Gold Medal to the winner, 3E Praha Engineering, was made by Czech president Vaclav Klaus, who had opened the fair.
This was the year’s second first prize for 3E Praha Engineering. In June, at the Machining Engineering Fair in Nitra, the company had won another Gold Medal attributable to its use of Surfware’s TrueMill technology. These Nitra awards are given by Agrokomplex Co.
TrueMill technology was introduced to the Czech and Slovak market in 2005 at MACH in Prague and the MSV trade show in Nitra.
TrueMill is engineered to provide throughput and productivity improvements in the machining environment. With TrueMill, the cutter’s engagement angle is precisely and constantly controlled and matched to both the material and the cutter geometry, resulting in a smooth, fluid machining motion free of sudden tool-load fluctuations.
