15 December 2006 MHT Establishes a Branch in the USA
Responding to continued positive sales developments in North America, MHT Mold & Hotrunner Technology AG, a leading manufacturer of PET preform moulds, has established a branch company in the United States. MHT USA LLC is based in Peachtree City, Georgia, near Atlanta. The new independent company is intended to offer enhanced service to the North American market. Through shorter delivery distances for distribution and after-sales service, the MHT Group will henceforth be able to serve its US customers more efficiently and deliver replacement parts more rapidly. MHT USA LLC, which commenced operations in October, has a usable floor space of approximately 1,400 m2 for offices and for servicing and assembly workshops. The company will begin assembling PET preform moulds in the first quarter of 2007. Manfred Lausenhammer, 44, has been appointed chief executive officer of MHT USA LLC. His goals are to expand the customer base and to increase the company’s US business in PET preform moulds. He will build and manage a US team dedicated to achieving these objectives. Formerly sales director of the MHT Group and general manager of MHT Luxemburg S.A., Lausenhammer has more than 17 years of experience in the field of PET moulds. Gerhard Weinandy, 45, succeeds Lausenhammer as general manager at MHT Luxemburg. The former project manager has 10 years of experience with PET moulds and another 5 years in general mould construction. A further corporate management adjustment involves Rolf Steinmetz, 41, who is assuming the position of sales director for PET moulds at MHT AG. Steinmetz meanwhile retains his duties as head of project planning. He has 16 years of experience in design, project management, and sales and key account management relating to PET technology.
