21 November 2006 ANCA Delivers 2,000th CNC Grinder
The Australian CNC grinder manufacturer ANCA Pty. Ltd. has delivered its 2,000th machine. To mark the significant milestone, ANCA founders and directors Pat Boland and Pat McCluskey presented the TX7+ high-precision CNC grinder to the customer, OSG Corp., in a ceremony at ANCA’s Bayswater, Victoria, plant on October 24. OSG is one of the largest manufacturers of cutting tools in Japan. Its executive director, Norio Yamazaki, and group manager for design centre engineering and development, Jiro Osawa, accepted delivery of the TX7+ in a traditional Japanese ribbon-cutting ceremony before assembled guests and more than 200 ANCA staff. ANCA’s director and group general manager Linsey Siede was pleased to have them for the ceremony. “ANCA is extremely honoured that Mr. Yamasaki and Mr. Osawa, were able to make the long trip to Australia to accept this 2,000th machine in person from the proud owners of ANCA, Mr. Pat Boland and Mr. Pat McCluskey,” he proclaimed. “This is a very special occasion for ANCA, and we are delighted to be able to share it with such a well known and respected company as OSG.” Among the guests were representatives of government, including the keynote speaker Joe Helper, MP, who is parliamentary secretary for the Australian Department of Innovation & Industry. ANCA sold its first thousand machines in 14 years, but the second thousand required only six more years. This highlights ANCA’s rapid rate of growth, which has resulted in ever increasing production levels. Siede noted that ANCA has managed to reach this point despite the facts that most of the machine tool industry resides in the Northern Hemisphere and 98% of ANCA’s customers are located outside of Australia. “Along the journey to reach this milestone,” he said, “ANCA has received help and support from many different groups, including a number of key suppliers; state and federal governments, including Austrade offices in a variety of countries; our valued customers from around the world; and, of course, the dedicated and talented members of the ANCA global team.” For further information: ANCA Pty.
