16 December 2008 Chinaplas 2009 Has EUROMAP Support
Chinaplas 2009, the 23rd International Exhibition of the Plastics and Rubber Industries, which is recognized by consensus as the industry as Asia’s No. 1 and the world’s No. 3 plastics and rubber trade fair (after K in Germany and NPE in the USA), will be the 20th consecutive edition of the event to enjoy the exclusive sponsorship of the European Committee of Machinery Manufacturers for the Plastics & Rubber Industries (EUROMAP). This is the only industry event in China endorsed by EUROMAP. EUROMAP comprises 10 national associations—in Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, and the UK—and represents more than 3,400 member companies that manufacture core machinery, moulds and dies, peripheral equipment, and flexographic printing machines. EUROMAP’s exhibition policy has the dual purpose of helping the global plastics and rubber industries choose appropriate trade fairs in which to participate while at the same time resisting the proliferation of low-quality exhibitions. The organization supports only large-scale trade shows of proven high quality. Bernhard Merki, president of EUROMAP, explains why Chinaplas has qualified for 20 consecutive years: “The exhibition is held in China annually, and it increases in scale, number of exhibitors, and number of visitors year by year. It has become a well-known and effective platform for the plastics and rubber industries in the world.” Chinaplas 2009 takes place in Guangzhou May 18–21 at the China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex. It is expected to occupy 140,000 m², an area 37% larger than the previous Chinaplas held in Guangzhou (2007) and a record for size. More than 1,900 exhibitors will be showcasing machines and a wide array of raw materials for an audience of professional buyers anticipated to exceed 74,000 visitors. The organizer is Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd. The participation of exhibitors from around the world reflects the high quality of Chinaplas. Besides renowned overseas companies, large Chinese machine manufacturers such as Feng Ming, Dong Feng, Heng Li, Jiangsu Lianguan, and Guangzhou Borch will be exhibiting at Chinaplas 2009.
