17 February 2010 Hermle AG Showcases Machining Centres In-House in April
Maschinenfabrik Berthold Hermle AG is organizing an in-house exhibition at its site in Gosheim, Germany, again this year. The manufacturer of machining centres will open its doors to interested trade visitors April 21–24. More than 20 machines will be displayed in full production mode, processing various types of workpieces. All Hermle products will be exhibited in the company’s technology and training centre. Featured highlights are to be the new C 42 U dynamic and C 50 U MT dynamic 5-axis machining centres. “MT” in the name of the latter machine stands for mill/turn: the machine is designed to excel at both milling and turning. To demonstrate the competence of automated Hermle machining centres, an RS 2 robot system will be running in a production environment. Visitors to the open house can take guided tours of Hermle’s machine production and assembly areas. In addition, a special exhibition focusing on tool technology will provide information about the latest trends in the area of tools, cad/cam and control technology. More than 30 exhibitors will be represented. Hermle has offered visitors this sort of feature for many years, with the topic varying from year to year.
