24 February 2010 BIEMH 2010 Exhibitors Being Promoted to Purchasers
The Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC) reports that, to date, 843 companies have booked their places for BIEMH 2010, the 26th international machine tool biennial trade fair, which takes place at the centre on May 31 through June 5. The event organizer has sent information on the exhibitors to purchasers in 114 countries. Thus, communications have been opened up between exhibitors and potential visitors. The promotional campaign has been successful so far, and now, according to the BEC, has reached one of its most interesting phases. The list of exhibiting firms has been passed on to agents, institutions and associations representing markets that have been targeted as sources of likely show visitors. The entities contacted will be receiving regular updates from the BEC. The commercial campaign is addressing India, China, the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Russia, Turkey, Germany, France, Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic as countries of strategic importance, though it extends to many more. An on-line catalogue for visitors will shortly become available for consultation. This catalogue, designed to facilitate contacts between trade specialists, will be continually updated. Exhibitors at BIEMH 2010 will be exhibiting products and services in the fields of machine tools for cutting and shaping; other machines for such processing functions as welding, flame-cutting and surface treatment; cutting tools for use with machine tools; parts, components and accessories; production system automation; metrology and quality control; and related industry services. The number of trade specialists who have expressed an interest in visiting the upcoming BIEMH has topped 22,000. A focal point of the campaign to attract visitors has been a programme tailored for foreign delegations.
