The two-part trade platform of the manufacturing industry in the Eurasian Region, WIN World of Industry 2010, closed the doors to a successful Part 1, held February 4–7 in the Tüyap Fair and Congress Centre. Organized by Hannover Messe Bile?im, the fair presented 499 exhibitors and 165 co-exhibitors from 20 countries. The latest manufacturing technologies and thousands of products, brands and services were on display at the initial phase of the 2010 edition of WIN. Exhibitors and visitors alike expressed satisfaction with their experiences at the fair: the visitors were happy to see so many options from Turkey and abroad, and the exhibitors found the attendees highly qualified. Many national and international business contacts were established. The four related fairs of WIN 1 welcomed 44,057 visitors from 65 countries. There were 21% more international visitors than last year, including business delegations from 17 countries of Africa, Europe and western and central Asia. In addition, the organizer brought 1,125 industrialists from 13 different Anatolian cities to the fair. These company owners and professionals were active in the machinery, welding, surface treatment and logistics sectors. This year is the “Japanese Year” in Turkey, and Japan is the Eurasian Business Partner of WIN World of Industry. The Asia nation presented 29 Japanese brands at WIN 1. Three other industrial manufacturing sectors will be brought together under the one roof when WIN 2 takes place at the same site February 25–28. The fairs on that occasion are Otomasyon (the 17th Industrial Automation Fair), Electrotech (the 11th Energy, Electric and Electronics Technologies Fair) and Hydraulic & Pneumatic (the 7th Hydraulic Technologies Fair).
