30 May 2003 International SPE Brings In New Executives at ANTEC
President of the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) for 2003-2004 is Donna Davis. Ms. Davis is currently worldwide applications associate, Polymers Technology, ExxonMobil Chemical Co. in Baytown, Texas. Ms Davis has authored several publications and also holds several American patents. She assumed her duties at SPE's Annual Technical Conference in Nashville, Tennessee earlier in May. Ms Davis joined the society in 1987and held various offices in the South Texas Section. She has also served on the Board of the Thermoplastic Materials and Foams Division. The new president-elect for SPE is Karen Winkler who has been a member of the society since 1989. Ms Winkler is employed by Dow Chemical of Milford, Massachusetts. She recently served as vice president and treasurer of the SPE Executive Committee and has been active as a board member of both the Medical Plastics Division and Eastern New England Section. The newly elected senior vice president of SPE is Len Czuba who has been a member of the society since 1975 and a 29-year plastics industry veteran. Czuba is president, Czuba Enterprises Inc.The other officers for 2003-2004 are Nancy J. Hermanson of Dow Chemical in Midland, Michigan; who will serve as vice-president, treasurer and Timothy W. Womer of New Castle Industries, New Castle, Pennsylvania. He is the new vice-president/secretary for the society. Other members of the 2003-2004 Executive Committee include past president Dr. Claudius Feger (IBM, T. J. Watson Research Center), prior past president Terence J. Browitt (Terinex International Ltd.). The appointed vice presidents are: • Richard J. Bradley (Great Lakes Chemical Corp.)
